Medic8 is an online question bank for pre-clinical and pre-medical students.

Throughout this policy, "Medic8", "we", "our", or "us" refers to Medic8.

First and last name
Email address
Password (stored encrypted, we never see it in plain text)
Timestamps recording when you agreed to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy

We also collect usage data as you use the platform, including your practice session history, question attempts, and performance statistics.

How we may use your information includes:

Provide and maintain your account
Track your practice progress and performance
Contact you about your account or upgrades
Improve the platform

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes and enforce our terms.

4. Data storage

We may use trusted third-party providers to operate Medic8, including store your data. For example, user data may be stored using Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in Australasia or other secure regions. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information where appropriate. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@medic8.co.nz.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on the platform with a revised "Last updated" date and become effective once published on the platform. Continued use of Medic8 after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
